it means we need to be alone for a lil while or just away from you. that is what he is trying to say.
Reply:It means there is someone else he'd like to, well, you know. He wants you to back off while he 'gets it out of his system' or decides to break up with you. But he doesn't want to lose you in the mean time. Not always, lol, but often.
Reply:Means he doesn't want anything exclusive, but still wants to keep you in his list of potentials.
